Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, jazz and soul in his signature style. She has performed on Broadway and at the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine's given title is Denise White. She is now a resident of Atlanta the place she was raised is Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began in the church where she sang and performed piano. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she embarked on her journey of music in the Atlanta's R&B culture. In 2005 she took on the role of the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her singing and her music, invited Sunshine to sing in the Dreamgirls production during the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition for her daily shows during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was later invited to sing during President Obama's inaugural in 2009.
